Can the OTP be sent on my email
Currently, SHA sends OTP (One-Time Password) codes only via SMS to the registered mobile number. Unfortunately, they do not support sending OTPs via email at this time.

If you’re having trouble receiving the OTP on your phone, you might want to check if your registered number is correct and active. If you need to update your phone number, you can contact SHA customer support for assistance.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble getting through to SHA customer support. Here are a few alternative ways you might be able to get assistance:

      Option 1: Email
You can send an email to SHA customer support with your query. They usually respond within a few days.

      Email: info@sha.go.ke

Option 2: Visit a Local SHA Office
If possible, you can visit a local SHA office or a hospital offering SHA services. The staff there should be able to assist you in person.

      Option 3: Use USSD Code
Try using the SHA USSD code *147#. This might help you access some services and get the assistance you need without waiting on the phone.

Option 4: Online Chat or Social Media
Check if SHA has an online chat service on their website or reach out to them on their social media channels like Twitter or Facebook.

I hope one of these options works for you! Let me know if there’s anything else I can assist with.

No worries, you can still register for SHA even if you don’t remember the phone number you used for NHIF. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it through the SHA website:

Step 1: Visit the SHA Website
Go to the official SHA website: sha.go.ke.

Step 2: Create a New Account
Click on “Register” to create a new account.

Fill in your personal details, including your ID number, and create a password.

Step 3: Fill in Your Details
Enter your personal information, including your current phone number, address, and any other required details.

      Step 4: Add Dependents
Once your account is created, log in and navigate to the dependents section.

Enter the details of your spouse and children, such as their ID numbers and birth certificates.

      Step 5: Confirm Registration
Review all the information you’ve provided and submit your registration.

You should receive a confirmation message on the newly provided phone number.

If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, you can contact SHA customer support for help.

Contact SHA Customer Support: This is the most direct way to change your registered phone number. You can call or visit the nearest SHA office.

Provide Identification: Have your ID and the previous number (0718561959) ready. You’ll also need to provide the new number (0713336865).

I understand the challenge. Since your son doesn’t have a phone, you can try registering him through an assisted enrollment process. Here’s what you can do:

Visit a SHA Registration Center: Go to a designated SHA registration center or a local hospital that offers SHA registration services.

Bring Necessary Documents: Take your son’s ID (or any identification document), your ID, and his birth certificate.

Assisted Enrollment: Ask for assistance from the registration staff to help you complete the registration process for your son.

Alternatively, you can contact SHA customer support for guidance on how to proceed with registering your son without a phone. They should be able to provide you with specific instructions or arrange for an alternative method of registration.

Try a different browser or device: If the problem persists, try accessing the SHA portal using a different browser or device.

Contact SHA support: If none of the above steps work, you can contact SHA customer support for assistance. They should be able to help you troubleshoot the issue.

To add your spouse and children to your SHA account, follow these steps:

Log in to your SHA account: Visit the SHA portal and log in using your ID number and phone number.

Navigate to the dependants section: Once logged in, go to the section where you can add dependants.

Enter dependant details: Provide the necessary information for your spouse and children, such as their ID numbers and birth certificates.

Yes, you should register with the Social Health Authority (SHA) first. Once you’re registered with SHA, you can then select hospitals through the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) portal or app2.

Here’s a quick guide on how to proceed:

Register with SHA: You can do this online through the SHA website or via the USSD code *147#. Make sure to provide accurate information about yourself and your dependents1.

Select NHIF Hospitals: After registering with SHA, you can choose your preferred NHIF hospitals online through the NHIF self-care portal, the NHIF app, or by dialing the USSD code *155#
